7. Rhyssalus? striatulus Cameron 1909

(Fig. 8)

Current combination. Rhaconotus striatulus (Cameron 1909) new combination ( Braconidae: Doryctinae)

Material examined. Rhyssalus striatulus Cameron 1909 ♀ lectotype, here designated, NHMUK, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia: ‘ J. Hewitt Kuching’; ‘ Rhyssalus striatulus Cam. Type Borneo’; ‘ P. Cameron Coll. 1914-110’; ‘ B.M.Type Hym. 3c.2413’; unsexed paralectotype, non-type ♂, same data as lectotype.

Comments. Three specimens (one female, one male and one unsexed as the metasoma is missing) labelled as co-types by Peter Cameron are in NHMUK. Gilbert Nixon had recognised these as a species of Rhaconotus Ruthe 1854, but this remained unpublished. Cameron’s (1909) description was based on the female sex, with no mention of males, or of how many specimens he based the description on; the definite female and unsexed individual should be regarded as syntypes, and the male has no type status. As there is only one unambiguous female (NHMUK010635177, illustrated in Fig. 8), this is here designated as the lectotype with the type number 3c.2413. Nixon had also indicated in the collection that Rhaconotus testaceipes (Cameron 1910) (described as Euryphrymnus testaceipes) is a junior synonym. I have not examined the holotype of E. testaceipes, which is in ZMHB.
