12. Amblyjoppa maculiceps Cameron 1907
(Fig. 12)
Current combination. junior synonym of Amblyjoppa sulcata (Cameron 1906) ( Ichneumonidae: Ichneumoninae) (Heinrich 1968a).
Material examined. Amblyjoppa maculiceps Cameron 1907 ♂ holotype, NHMUK, Myanmar, Tenasserim, Salween Valley: ‘Holotype’; ‘Holotype’; ‘ Middle Tenasserim. Salween Valley 7.94 C.T. Bingham’; ‘Cameron Coll. 1909-182.; ‘ Amblyjoppa maculiceps Cam. Type NO CM Tenasserim. ’; ‘ B.M.Type Hym. 3b.2132’; ‘ NHMUK010635205 ’.
Comments. The holotype male is in NHMUK (3b.2132; NHMUK010635205), not lost as reported by Townes et al. (1961) and repeated in Yu et al. (2016). Heinrich (1968a) synonymised A. maculiceps under A. sulcata, having discovered and examined the holotype, and noted that this is an unusually dark specimen of A. sulcata . Claude Morley crossed out ‘type’ on Cameron’s label and wrote ‘no’, but the specimen and data perfectly match Cameron’s (1907) description, except that the antennae are now missing.
