Neamblyjoppa nasuta Heinrich 1962

Catadelphops nasutus: Sime & Wahl (2002)

Material examined. Catadelphops nasutus (Heinrich 1962) 1♀, 1♂, NHMUK, USA, Arizona, Cochise County, bred 1990 ex pupa Proserpinus terlooii, F. Sala, Cadiou coll. BMNH(E) 2008-107, NHMUK014425409, NHMUK014425408 .

Comments. There are two specimens of Catadelphops nasutus in NHMUK, a female and a male from the huge Cadiou collection of Sphingidae, reared in Arizona from pupae of the hawk-moth Proserpinus terlooii (Edwards) ( Lepidoptera: Sphingidae). This is the first host record for the genus Catadelphops Heinrich. Sime & Wahl (2002) noted several host records for Catadelphus Wesmael from Macroglossini, including other species of Proserpinus Hübner, and recovered a sister group relationship between Catadelphops and Catadelphus .
