These specimens were collected in sponges such as A. crassa, C. foliacea, algae such as D. delicatula and Udotea J.V. Lamouroux, cnidaria such as P. guadalupensis, coral rubble. The abundance of females and males was not recorded for this species.

Geographical distribution. Pacific Ocean: coasts of Guerrero and Oaxaca; Atlantic Ocean: West Palm Beach, Florida ; GoM: Tuxpan-Lobos Protected Natural Area; Caribbean Sea: Puerto Morelos Reef National Park, Quintana Roo .

Recognition characters. Rostrum sub-triangular with crenulated margin and a subtriangular process in the middle; basis of the antennule with three tubercles on inner margin.

Remarks. Associated with benthic algae and coral rubble at depths 8 to 12 m.
