GR, IW, MA, UP, collected at 9 m depth; Tr-Loc: Bocacha, Yucatan, Mexico, 21°19’17.3’’N 90°20’02.6’’W, two individuals, 04 June 2012, coll. GR, IW, MA, UP, collected at 8 m depth; Tr-Loc: Boyas, Yucatan, Mexico, 21°20’23.9’’N 89°40’42.0’’W, one individual, 05 June 2012, coll. GR, IW, MA, UP, collected at 4 m depth; Tr-Loc: Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico, 21°18’13.3’’N 89°39’59.9’’W, one individual, 05 June 2012, coll. GR, IW, MA, UP, collected at 1 m depth. These specimens were collected in algae such as B. tenella, C. cervicornis, and S. natans, cnidaria such as P. guadalupensis, coral rubble. The abundance of females and males was not recorded for this species.

Geographical distribution. GoM: Veracruz Reef System National Park; Caribbean Sea: Puerto Morelos Reef National Park, Quintana Roo .
Recognition characters. Coxa of pereopod-1 with or without an anterior lobe (depends on the species); pleon with two last pleonites reduced; uropod with four to nine articles (depends on the species); male cheliped larger than in female.
Remarks. This species occurs in algae, seagrass and coral rubble, at depths of 12 to 14 m.
