DISTRIBUTION: Atlantic and Mediterranean parts of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia; one record from coastal Egypt.

SYNONYMS: essaouiranensis, mesatanensis, matruhensis, zaianensis (see Hutterer, 1987, 1991).
