TYPE SPECIES: Anourosorex squamipes Milne-Edwards, 1872 .

SYNONYMS: Pygmura .

COMMENTS: Tribe Neomyini (Repenning, 1967:61) or Anourosoricini. Reumer (1984: 17) placed the genus in the tribe Amblycoptini Kormos, 1926, but this is antedated by Anourosoricini Anderson, 1879.
