Cryptocephalus rufipes (Goeze, 1777)

Material in revised collection: Record of this species “Tiļiši, 06.08.1977 (1, leg. V.Pūtele)” was misidentified and relate to C. pusillus Fabricius, 1777 .

Host plants: Salix, Populus (Bienkowski 2004) . General distribution: Europe (from Spain and France to southern part of Germany, Poland and Ukraine), N Africa (Morocco, Algeria).

Note: Faunal data of this species in Latvia are absent and its occurrence in local fauna is doubtful, therefore the species is excluded from the list of Latvian Coleoptera .
