Diagnosis: Cypridea obovata quadrirugosa is a subspecies of Cypridea obovata with four particularly prominent wrinkled /puckered parts on each valve.

Holotype: Carapace, T.-K.-Nr. 3170.

Dimensions: (greatest) length 1.56mm, height 0.63mm, width 0.88mm.

Remarks (Bate et al. herein): Wicher’s figure, a drawing x30, shows dimensions larger than those he published (above), as is the case with some other species noted below.
