Diagnosis: A subspecies of Gomphocythere forbesii, which partly includes the nodose type.

Holotype: Carapace ♂. T.-K.-Nr. 3174.

Paratypes: Carapaces ♀. T.-K.-Nr 3184, 3185 .

Dimensions: Carapace ♂. T.-K.-Nr. 3181, length 0.78mm, height 0.43mm, width 0.38mm ( Moos in Wicher, p. 48) .
