89. Crocidosema plebejana Zeller, 1847 (Fig. 43).

This nearly cosmopolitan species occurs throughout Central America. SCP collected it as a larva on Croton (Julocroton) argenteus ( Euphorbiaceae), which is a somewhat unusual host because the majority of the hosts of this species are Malvaceae (CABI 2020) .
