34. Argyrotaenia atima (Walsingham, 1914) (Fig. 12).

This species was described from Panama but most specimens are known from Costa Rica (USNM). Interestingly, there is a morphologically similar disjunct population in southern Brazil (VBC) which deserves closer attention to see if the two are conspecific. A single specimen from Parque Nacional Cerro Azul Meámbar extends the range north for this species.
