17. Saphenista multistrigata Walsingham, 1914 .

Based on the presence of a pair of small lobes on the venter of abdominal segment 7, each of which bears a laterally-directed hairpencil, a single specimen of Saphenista from Honduras is tentatively identified as S. multistrigata . This species was described from Veracruz, Mexico, and the male genitalia of the type specimen are illustrated by Razowski (1964). We have examined specimens from Mexico and southern Florida that appear to be conspecific.
