Diversibipalium castaneum Solà & Sluys, sp. nov.

Material: Holotype, RMNH.VER.21028.a (field number RS85), Camp Simpona, Marojejy, Antsiranana Province, Sava Region, northeastern Madagascar, 14°26’20.42’’S 49°44’32.96’’E, 2005, coll. Dr. Miguel Vences, two portions sectioned at intervals of 8 μm covering a total of 47 slides: sagittal sections of the anterior part on 25 slides; sagittal sections of the posterior part on 22 slides. A prepharyngeal portion of 2 mm was cut off for the molecular analyses. Observations on the specimen cleared in clove oil already suggested that it was devoid of a copulatory apparatus, which was substantiated by examination of the histological sections.
