Type data: Holotype, female, from Lespedeza formosa (Vog.) Koehne (Leguminosae), Baotianman, Neixiang County, Henan Province, P.R. China, 23 July 2004, coll. X.F. Xue. Paratypes, 11 females and 2 males, with the same data as holotype. Relation to host: Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed. Etymology: Derived from the specific epithet of the type host plant, formosa . Note: This species is similar to Tetra shiheziensis Wang & Lu, 2004, but can be differentiated by the prodorsal shield with complete median line, empodium 7rayed, solenidion tapered and dorsal annuli with spiny microtubercles.
