Notes. – This species is found in continental southeastern Asia, in Vietnam and Cambodia (GOVAERTS et al., 2015). RUHSAM et al. (2008) concluded that this species does not belong to Chassalia, and transferred it to Psychotria but did not designate a lectotype. This species has the characters of Eumachia rather than Psychotria, and does not match any other Eumachia species treated here. Therefore this name is transferred to Eumachia, but this species is not well understood so but more study will be needed to clarify its typification.
