Material examined. 1 spec, TAU 13333, Israel, Off Akko, 032°58'N, 034°51'E, 800 m, coll. Galil, 24 August 2004.

Distribution. Northeastern Atlantic, Mediterranean. Known "from shallow, inshore waters to 650 m depth. In the eastern Ionian Sea it was found at a depth range of 300–1013 m (Froese & Pauly, 2014).
