Nearticerodes Jeannel, 1954: 299 . Type species: Commatocerinus laevis Raffray, original designation. Nearticerodes Jeannel: Jeannel, 1960: 195.

Diagnosis. Body (Fig. 2) entirely reddish-brown, length 1.55 mm, maximum width 0.72 mm. Head glabrous, with sparse puncturation, pronotum with sparse setae, lacking puncturation. Antennae 3-segmented, terminal segment 7.8 times as long as pedicel, not pedunculate, narrowed at base and evenly expanded apicaly. Pronotum with antebasal median and lateral foveae, lacking sulci. Elytra lacking basal foveae and striae, rounded at posterior corners, with well-defined lateral trichomes. Composite tergite (IV–VI) glabrous, with wide transverse impression, lacking trichomes. First paratergites not projecting, bearing large, long trichome. Legs long, mesofemora with long, basal, hooked spine, mesotibiae with spur in apical third, metatibiae with small spur behind their midlength. The genus is monospecific.
