Habitats. Tropical coral reefs.

Occurrences. Nuarro and Vamizi Island.

Geographic distribution. Indo-west, central Pacific. Hawaii (Kay & Young 1969), Guam (Carlson & Hoff 2003), Japan, Papua New Guinea, Australia (Gosliner et al. 2008), Indonesia (Gosliner et al. 2008; Yonow 2011), Gulf of Oman (Fatemi & Attaran-Fariman 2015), Red Sea (Debelius 1996), Madagascar (Marcus & Marcus 1970), Tanzania, Seychelles, Mauritius (Gosliner et al. 2008) and Mozambique.
