Habitats. Subtropical rocky reefs.

Occurrences. Zavora.

Geographic distribution. Indo-west Pacific. Japan, Australia (Moore & Gosliner 2009), India (Patel 2012) and Mozambique.

Remarks. First record for the western Indian Ocean.
