Latrunculia citharistae Vacelet, 1969 incertae sedis

Latrunculia citharistae Vacelet, 1969 was transferred to subgenus Biannulata by Samaai et al. (2006) but is now thought to be a species of Sceptrella as the paratype and other specimens possess a second form of longer, equiended spicule, similar to those in other species of Sceptrella (J. Vacelet pers. comm.). This species has been transferred from Latrunculia (Biannulata) to Latrunculia incertae sedis until further research is conducted on this species (Table 9).
