Diplosynapsis remus Tomasovic, 2002: 60, fig. 19; Papavero, 2009: 17 (catalogue).

Comments. Tomasovic (2002) described D. remus based on the holotype and 4 paratype specimens. For the current study only 2 paratypes were studied and in both, the R4 vein ends in the C vein and, consequently, cell r2+3 is narrowly open, and not closed as typical for Diplosynapsis species (Fig. 55). Although the paratypes do not have the diagnostic characters of Diplosynapsis, it would be premature to remove this species from this genus, since it was not possible to study the holotype. Thus, we emphasize the importance of additional study to determine the taxonomic position of D. remus .

Distribution. French Guiana (Pointe Combi, Pont sur La Comté) (Fig. 76).
