Remarks. The type locality was designated as “Popotea” México, without additional information; it possibly refers to the Laguna La Popotera wetlands, in the northeastern portion of the lower Papaloapan river basin, in southeastern Veracruz.

Distribution. USA (Texas), México (Estado de México, Veracruz?, Tamaulipas).
