Material. Holotype, Ƌ, BRAZIL: Mato Grosso do Sul, Aquidauana, Ecological Reserve of Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) (S 20° 26’ 07.2’’ / W 055° 39’ 32.8’’), riparian forest (Cerrado), 11–26.xi.2012, Lamas, Nihei and eq. col . Paratype, 1 Ƌ, BRAZIL: Mato Grosso do Sul, Aquidauana, Ecological Reserve of Uni- versidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) (S 20° 41’ 49.9’’ / W 056° 52’ 54’’), riparian forest (Cerrado), 21.ii-06.iii.2012, Lamas, Nihei and eq. col. Description. Male. Body length about 1.24 mm (N=01). Wing length about 1.64 mm (N=01). Terminalia (Fig. 6). Gonocoxite longer than wide. Gonostylus long and thin, with apical tooth. Cerci as long as hypoproct. Hypoproct microtrichia-covered, covered with spiniform microtrichia ventrobasally, with two lateral, cylindrical lobes with spiniform microtrichia throughout, continuing as a dorsoventrally flattened, apically bilobed lamella, with deep and narrow emargination and a prominent seta on each lobe. Hypoproct about three-quarters length of aedeagus. Mediobasal lobe of gonocoxite divided above base, elongated, cylindrical, thin, apex bearing several setae, microtri- chose throughout. Ventral projection of mediobasal lobe about three-quarters length of aedeagus; dorsal projection about three-quarters length of ventral one. Aedeagus broad at base, tapering at apex and with rounded tip; as long as gonocoxite . Etymology. Named after the indigenous Terena people who lived in large areas of the Mato Grosso do Sul State. The specific name should be treated as a noun in apposition.
