Ochthebius (Asiobates) similis Sharp

The new record below documents a new locality, the first for Chiapas, Mexico, for this very rarely collected species, raising the number of identified specimens in museum collections from 12 to 23. The species is presently known from Guatemala City, central Mexico, and central Arizona.
