Paratype. HNHM Pseudoscorp-330: 1 protonymph “ Garypus marmoratus n. sp., protonymph, Paratypus, det. V. Mahnert 1980”, “ Kenya, Malindi, Silversands; laisses de mer; [leg.] V. Mahnert, 7.8.1965 ” [under wooden planks on the seashore] .

Current status. Valid, as Garypus marmoratus Mahnert, 1982 .

Remarks. The holotype and further paratypes were deposited in NHMG, further paratypes in Museum of Evolution of Uppsala University (‘Inst. Zool. Uppsala’) and Royal Museum for Central Africa (Tervuren).
