Holotype. HNHM Pseud.-845: ♂ “ Tyrannochthonius zicsi [sic] n. sp. ♂, Holotypus, dét. V. Mahnert 7.1977”, “Congo-Brazzaville [Republic of the Congo], Sibiti, 1.XII.1963, [leg.] Balogh-Zicsi; No 317” [ Institut de Recherches pour les Huiles et Oléagineux (IRHO) rainforest, pitfall-trap].

Current status. Valid, as Tyrannochthonius zicsii Mahnert, 1978 .

Remark. Further one female paratype was deposited in the NHMG.
