Syntypes. HNHM Pseudoscorp-517: 2 ex. “2343/1931 Neobisium (Blothrus) velebiticum Beier. Typus! det. Dr. Beier Max ”, “Velebit: In antro, ‘Ostrovica Pečina’, Lg. Dr. Bíró Lajos ” [ cave Ostrvička Špilja at Ostrvica (Gospić), Croatia] .

Current status. Valid, as Neobisium (Blothrus) velebiticum Beier, 1938 .

Remarks. There are two further specimens labelled as ‘Paratypen’ from ‘Lika Cave’ (probably one of the caves on the Lika plateau at Perušić, Croatia) (HNHM Pseudoscorp-518: “ Blothrus spelaeus Schiödte. Det. Daday Jenő ”, “951/1892 Neobisium (Blothrus) velebiticum n. sp., Paratypen! Det. Dr. Beier Max”, “Lika barlang, Croatia, 1879. [leg.] Reitter”). Because these specimens were not mentioned in the original description and do not have Beier’s original labels, we do not consider them to hold type status here.
