Stictoscarta Stål 1869

The genus Stictoscarta comprises six species, of which only one, S. sulcicollis (Germar), is present in Argentina (Young 1968).

Young (1968) illustrates abdominal sternite VII of S. sulcicollis and provides a key using characters of the male genitalia to separate four species of Stictoscarta, not including S. exoleta Melichar and S. indebita Melichar which are known only from female specimens. These two species, like S. sulcicollis, have the posterior margin of sternite VII emarginate with an acute median process within the emargination.
