Observed intraspecific variation. The specimens collected in the state of Mato Grosso and examined in this study vary morphologically from the original description and from the redescription by Sganga & Angrisano (2006). The differences observed were the presence of spines on the ventro-lateral region of tergum X (Figs 97 −98) and the presence of small spines in the apical region of the phallus.

Biology. This species was collected with light traps placed on the banks of 1 stream and 1 river with widths ranging from 4.7 to 55 m, in an area with dense, well-preserved gallery forest in the Cerrado biome.

Distribution. Brazil, states of Mato Grosso (new record), Minas Gerais and São Paulo; Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
