Phaenosemus (Orthocentrus) winnertzii Förster, 1850: 277–284, 496–500 [lectotype male (ZSM), ‘ Germany, Krefeld’].

Orthocentrus stigmaticus Holmgren, 1858: 325 [lectotype male (NHRS), ‘ Sweden, Ostrogothia’].

Pachyonyx stigmatias Walsh, 1873: 101 [male, type lost (Townes 1945: 548)].

Orthocentrus stigmaticus planator Aubert 1978: 25–27 ( Orthocentrus stigmaticus ssp.) [type: female (MZL), ‘ France, Provence/ Alpes-Maritimes’].

Material examined. 1 ♂, México, Coahuila, S. de Arteaga: La Liberia; bosque de pino, 17.X.1999, leg. J. Ma. Coronado B. (UAT) .

Distribution. Holarctic; Mexico (Coahuila, Tamaulipas). Reported earlier from Mexico (Humala et al., 2011).

Comments. Tentatively included in the O. wahlbergi species-group. Comparing with the European specimens, the Mexican one differs in more fuscous hind legs and more light head colour pattern (dusky yellow in the European material).
