Munida constricta A. Milne-Edwards, 1880
Munida constricta has been reported from Brazil, the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico in depths of 277 to 849 m (Chace 1942; de Melo-Filho & de Melo 2001b). Twenty-two specimens were measured, 19 males and two females, collected in April, May, July, and December (Fig. 8 D). No ovigerous females were available for analysis. All specimens were collected from the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean in depths of 350 to 625 m. Males and females were not significantly different in size (t-test, df = 19, t = 0.927, p = 0.365).
