Munidopsis latifrons (A. Milne-Edwards, 1880)

Munidopsis latifrons has previously been reported as Galathodes latifrons (Baba et al. 2008) . Its reported range is from the Caribbean to the Gulf of Mexico in depths of 677 to 1107 m (Milne-Edwards 1880; Chace 1942). Four specimens were available: two females (CW was 4.3 mm and 5.3 mm) and two ovigerous females (CW was 4.0 mm and 4.6 mm). All specimens came from the same locality off the Atlantic coast of Florida from 805 m in the month of May; eggs were neither counted nor measured.
