Type locality. Eastern Madagascar, Andranomandevy, Didy, Ambatondrazaka, 1039 m a.s.l.

Type material. Holotype ♂ [sex not confirmed] (Figs 57–60): ‘Andranomandevy / Didy 1039 m / Ambatondrazaka [erroneously listed by Wolfrum as ‘A. batondazaka’] / X 56 [October 1956] E.R. [p] // Institut / Scientifique / Madagascar [p] // Typus [rectangular red label, h] // Anhelita / brevipes / sp. nov. Wolfr. [h]’ (MNHN).

Other material examined. 1 ♀ Anhelita cf. brevipes (Figs 61–65): N Madagascar, Montagne d’Ambre Nat. Park, circ. Mille arbre, S12°31’10”; E49°10’31”, 1069 m, 4.–8.xii.2019, M. Trýzna leg., Anhelita cf. brevipes Wolfr., M. Trýzna det. [specimen with dark-colored tibiae in apical part and dark tarsomeres compared to holotype] (MTDC) .

Distribution. East: Andranomandevy, Didy; North: Montagne d’Ambre.
