Thecacineta spp.

Records on halacarid mites: Grimaldi (1965) reported Thecacineta sp. on Actacarus pygmaeus Schulz from Sardinia.

Dovgal et al. (2008a) commented that figures of a suctorian in an SEM photomicrograph of C. laevisetosus Chatterjee, Lee & Chang from Korea (Chatterjee et al. 2004) suggest that it is a species belonging to the genus Thecacineta .
