Distribution. Species with SAR distribution, extending from North Africa (DZ, EG, LY, TN) eastward to Levant (EG (Sinai), IL) and to southwestern Arabian Peninsula (SA, YE).

Life forms and Remarks. ZGDG (L) species. Scarites striatus has been reported from Asir and Makkah provinces (Balkenhol 1994). The above adult specimens were collected from various vegetation communities and different altitudes (1614–2387 m) within the GRNR.
