Diagnosis. Character states of Diamphidaxona . Gnathosoma with rostrum short and not extending beyond insertion of pedipalps (Figs. 7, arrow, 12, 22, 29, 41, 53, 58). Pedipalp with segments, especially tibia, relatively long and slender and with ventral spine­like seta on tarsus smooth or bearing one or more denticles (Figs. 5, 11, 20, 27, 32, 39, 51, 58).
