Symplegma viride Herdman 1886
Symplegma viride Herdman, 1886, Bermuda.
Symplegma viride: Van Name 1945; Monniot C. 1972, Bermuda. Station; AR 69 (MNHN S1 SYM 93)
The network of tunic blood vessels is visible through the thin tunic. The description is the same as for S. brakenhielmi except for the gonads. Here the 2 testis vesicles on each side of the ovary are in a simple ovoid lobe as figured in Monniot C. (1983) for specimens from Guadeloupe. Descriptions of specimens from different locations in the literature do not allow to ascertain a geographic distribution outside the Caribbean area .
