Sipunculus nudus Linnaeus, 1766
Sipunculus nudus Linnaeus, 1766:1078 . – ten Broeke, 1925:82.
Remarks. The numerous (24–34), highly visible longitudinal muscle bands and longitudinal coelomic canals in the body wall allow for easy recognition of this genus. The morphologically similar S. robustus Keferstein, 1865 lack the partially attached nephridia of S. nudus .
Distribution. Considered cosmopolitan in temperate to tropical regions, usually in intertidal or shallow depths. A single specimen of this species was reported from sandy sediments at Spaansche Water, Curaçao, by ten Broeke (1925)
