Thysanocardia catharinae (Grübe, 1868)

Phascolosoma catherinae Fritz Müller (?).– ten Broeke, 1925:83–84.

Remarks. Members of this genus have a uniform longitudinal muscle layer, two retractor muscles, and contractile vessel villi. T. catherinae has a single, narrow nuchal organ and a lightly pigmented tentacular crown.

Distribution. ten Broeke (1925) reported Phascolosoma catherinae as being collected on Porites from Spaansche Water, but erroneously attributed this species to Fritz Müller and did not reference his work. Grübe (1868) actually described this species.
