Material examined. 1 female (MGAB CUM 1802), St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, Caribbean Sea, 54 m, May 8, 2012, 18°13'18.6960"N, 64°40'33.4560"W, 54 m, collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas during the 2012 UPRM-DMS Mesophotic Cruise.
Diagnosis. Carapace of female with 1 dorsal denticle on tip of pseudorostrum, uropodal peduncle 0.7 times pleonite 6 length, 4 setae on medial margin, endopod with 2 medial setae. Male uropodal peduncle 0.6 times pleonite 6 length, 1 seta on medial margin, 2 times endopod length, 4 setae on medial margin.
Remarks. This is the first record of this species from Puerto Rico.
Distribution: Belize (Petrescu, 2002), Puerto Rico (present record). Depth range: 3– 54 m.
