Material examined. 1 subadult male (MGAB CUM 1771), shelf edge, La Parguera, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, exact GPS information is not available, 2008–2009, 45– 60 m. Collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas.

Diagnosis. Male uropodal peduncle 0.64 times pleonite 6 length, about 0.6 in female, curved urpodal endopods in both sexes.

Remarks. This is the first record of the species from Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands .

Distribution. Florida, Cuba, Mexico, Curaçao (Băcescu & Muradian, 1977b), Belize (Petrescu, 2002), Puerto Rico (present record), and U.S. Virgin Islands (present record). Depth range: 0.5– 60 m.
