Material examined. Site 15 (a: 2 ♂).
Distribution. Portugal, Spain, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, F. Y. Republic of Macedonia, Albania, Greece (Komnenov, 2014). Chorotype. S-European.
Remarks. The identification was based on Grimm (1986). Taxonomic drawings of this species are here provided for comparison to the newly described Phrurolithus species. Males of P. szilyi are easily distinguished by congenerics by the tapering tibial apopysis (Figs 79–82), leaning towards the middle of the tegulum (Fig 81) and the densely sclerotised posterior part of the epigyne with characteristic S-shape (Fig 83).
