Diagnosis. Forewing length is 11.5–12.5 mm in males (12.5 mm in the holotype) and 14.5–15 mm in females. Barsine nemea sp. n. is similar externally to B. rhipiptera, but differs by its not interrupted transverse lines. The male genitalia of B. nemea sp. n. are similar to those of B. visaya sp. n., but differ by their valva being narrower distally, curved costa (that is almost straight in B. visaya sp. n.), broader medial costal process, longer distal costal process, straight distal saccular process (that is hook-like curved dorsally in B. visaya sp. n.), smaller subbasal ventral diverticulum, and more robust cornuti in medial diverticulum. The female genitalia of B. nemea sp. n. differ from those of B. visaya sp. n. by the shorter and distally narrower appendix bursae.
Distribution. The Philippines (Mindanao and Luzon Islands).
Etymology. Nemea is the goddess of the new moon in Greek mythology.
