The simplex group
Remarks. This group is characterized by the following combination of characters: absence of a dense patch of plumose setae around the abdominal pedicel and a matte dorsal abdominal scutum, which is neither shiny nor punctuat- ed (Figs. 3D, 4A, C, 9A, 13L, 30D ̅E). Nine species, mostly with South American distributions, are herein included: C. simplex, C. sedata, C. silvestris, C. vianai, C. central, C. chicote, C. lavras, C. lorenzo, and C. sternalis .
