Episcepsis flavipuncta Zerny, 1931b: 17 (Taf. 1, fig. 21 and 22). Lectotype hereby designated, male: [BRAZIL], Santa Catarina, Jaraguá (Fr. Hoffmann), with two labels: one printed “Sta. Catharina, Jaraguá, Fr. Hoffmann ”, on the underside with the date handwritten “ 17.ix. ’28”, and a handwritten label “ Episcepsis flavipuncta Zerny ♂ type ”. One paralectotype, female with the same labels, date “ 13.ix. ’29”.
Current combination. Episcepsis flavipuncta Zerny, 1931 .
Condition of the types. Lectotype. Overall good condition, except for the missing left middle leg. Paralectotype. Specimen in perfect condition.
Remarks. Episcepsis flavipuncta was described from one male and one female. In his original description, Zerny mentioned that it differs from E. endodasia Hampson, 1898 by details on the forewings, present in both males and females. E. flavipuncta is also closely related to E. ockendeni Rothschild, 1911 .
