Males of T. xaniostylis are recognized by gonostylus with a row of rod-like bristles at apex and elongated bristles in the lateral lateral margin; ejaculatory apodeme long, twice the length of gonostylus. The type specimens were not examined; however, the description and figures of Quate (1996) allowed for the identification of the specimens.
