Lacinipolia strigicollis (Wallgren, 1860)
Lacinipolia illaudabilis (Grote, 1875), NEW SYNONYM
The name Lacinipolia illaudabilis (Grote, 1875) was proposed for pale green specimens of this common and variable species. Based on numerous dissections, all color forms have identical male genitalia. Unfortunately, the type specimen of L. strigicollis, which was reputed to be in Stockholm, Sweden, is apparently lost (McDunnough, 1937a). Nevertheless, it is generally agreed that illaudabilis and strigicollis are the same species, and I therefore treat illaudabilis as a junior synonym.
