Strigamia carmela (Chamberlin, 1941)

References for morphology: Chamberlin 1941.

Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of Korynia, it was almost neglected, but its validity was never questioned. It is assigned here to Strigamia for the first time (new combination), because it shares all major diagnostic features of Strigamia (see above under “Notes on synonymies”).

Distribution: known from a single locality in the Coast Ranges, California.
