Sticholotis simplifulva Wang & Ren sp. nov.

Diagnosis. This species is distinctive due to golden yellow body and uniformly fine punctures on the elytra (Figs 14–16).

Description. TL: 2.18–2.77 mm, TW: 1.88–2.37 mm, TH: 1.15–1.48 mm, TL/TW: 1.16–1.17; PL/PW: 0.39– 0.43; EL/EW: 0.91–0.94; HW/TW: 0.38; PW/TW: 0.64.

Body uniformly yellow, circular in outline and hemispherical, shiny and glabrous (Figs 14–16). Head with frontal punctures fine, shallow, with scattered short setae, interocular distance 0.67x head width (Fig. 16).

Pronotal punctures fine and shallow, 1.5–2.5 diameters apart. Elytral punctures fine and sparsely distributed, smaller than those on pronotum, 2.5–4.0 diameters apart. Lateral margins of elytra wide, distinctly visible from above.

Surface of prosternum slightly shagreened, punctures inconspicuous, with scattered long setae. Mesoventral surface shiny, with several large punctures. Metaventrite shiny and broad, flat medially, covered by coarse and dense punctures distributed at center. Elytral epipleuron broad and complete to apex, slightly foveate to accommodate femoral tips of hind legs. Wings well-developed.

Male genitalia. Penis short and stout, moderately curved at base, basal capsule inconspicuous, apex rounded (Fig. 125); tegmen with penis guide in lateral view short and stout, thick, widest at base, narrowing to apex, distinctly longer than parameres (Fig. 126); penis guide in ventral view stout and triangular, widest at base, apex pointed (Fig. 127); parameres slender, with sparse setae apically.

Female genitalia. Ovipositor elongate; coxites narrowly triangular, styli inconspicuous, each with sparse long terminal setae (Fig. 128).

Holotype: 1 male, China, Yunnan: Nangunhe National Natural Reserve, Banhong, Cangyuan, [23°8.75′N, 99°23.44′E], ca 1500 m, 14.v.2008, Wang XM leg (SCAU) . Paratypes (37): Yunnan: 12 males, 12 females, same data as holotype (9 males, 9 females SCAU, 3 males, 3 females IOZ); 8 males, 3 females, Husa, Longchuan, [24°23.79′N, 99°50.17′E], ca 1600 m, 4.v.2008, Wang XM leg. (SCAU); 1 female, Gaoligongshan, Bawan, [24°59.92′N, 99°5.03′E], ca 2000 m, 21.v.2008, Wang XM leg (SCAU); 1 female, Gaoligongshan, Bawan, [24°59.92′N, 99°5.03′E], ca 2000 m, 19.ix.2006, Wang XM leg (SCAU).

Distribution. China: Yunnan.

Etymology. The specific epithet is formed from the Latin adjective simplus and fulvus, referring to golden elytra without spot.
